Q&A with Jacqueline Ferguson
1. Can you tell us about your journey and how you started your businesses?
“I started my skincare beauty career over 30 years ago, starting in the Harrods salon in Knightsbridge, then onto Selfridges day spa in Bond Street, before opening my own day spa in Mayfair, London. I owned my clinic on Curzon Street W1 for decades, very busy & happy days even with such a demanding database.
Recently, I moved to South Liverpool and am now combining my skincare expertise with my passion for portrait photography, which began in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire as Penn Road Studio. My photography clients have included our late Queen Elizabeth, other royal members, and 5* celebrities. I now am able to offer a unique blend of aesthetic treatments and professional photography in one space.”

2. How do you maintain brand integrity across both of your businesses?
“Consistency and quality are key. Whether it’s a skincare treatment or a photoshoot, I ensure that every client receives the highest standard of service. I focus on using advanced techniques and industry-leading equipment to uphold my reputation.
My brand is built on trust and excellence, which I consistently deliver, see my 5* reviews.”
3. How important is personal branding in your work?
“Personal branding is crucial. It’s not just about what I offer, but how I present myself and my businesses. My experience with high-profile clients has taught me the importance of a strong personal brand. It helps to establish credibility and connect with clients on a deeper level.
I aim to reflect professionalism, friendliness and expertise in every interaction.”
4. What is your approach to telling a brand story through photography?
“Photography is a powerful tool for storytelling. I capture the essence of a person or a brand in every shot. My background in aesthetics allows me to see details others might miss, ensuring that my portraits are not only beautiful but also true to the subject’s story.
I create an experience where clients feel seen and valued, resulting in images that genuinely reflect their brand.”
5. What has the transition to Liverpool been like for you and your businesses?
“Relocating to Liverpool has been a refreshing and exciting journey. The vibrant community here has been incredibly welcoming. It has allowed me to bring my unique blend of skincare and photography services to a new audience. The move has also given me the chance to connect with local business leaders and expand my network.
The support from the local community has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition and continued success. Locals about the city have really welcomed me with open arms as they truly love that I have chosen Liverpool to relocate to, no other town or city, it’s all about Liverpool.”
